Terrain

The route cuts through the northern end of the Aravalli mountains. The Aravallis, not the highest of mountain ranges, are at their lowest here before disappearing altogether near Delhi. Fauna – The Keoladeo National Park at Bharatpur is a World Heritage Site. The sanctuary is believed to be the world’s richest bird area, playing home to more than 350 species of birds including some rare species like the wood sandpiper, the greater spotted eagle, the Marshall’s iora etc.

Sariska tiger reserve is a major national park of India. Apart from the magnificent Royal Bengal Tiger other common wildlife include the leopard, wild boar, four horned antelope, jackal, rhesus monkey, spotted dear etc. Herds of camel, mongoose, nilgai etc can be commonly spotted along the route.

Food – Delhi is renowned for its variety of rich Mughlai and Punjabi cuisine. The Tandoor – a cylindrical oven made of clay and set into the earth, and fired with wood or charcoal – is a dominant influence in the region’s cuisine. While in Jaipur try the famous Daal Baati Churma. For dessert try Ghewar – a Jaipur specialty made with flour and sugar syrup.

  1. Day 1: Jaipur to Shahpura

    Our guide meets at your hotel around 07:30am.

    This day we start early in the morning and ride past small villages, mountainous and greener landscape.

    The ride is undulating and gives a chance to witness the rural life around Jaipur from close quarters.

  2. Day 2: Sariska

    We cycle towards the forest of Sariska, through the amazing Aravalli hills, lakes and past Bhangarh Fort, the most haunted place in India. Today is an amazing trail for biking. We will continue cycling to Sariska National Park, a favourite haunt of wildlife buffs & professional wildlife photographers from around the world. The topography of Sariska supports scrub-thorn arid forests, rocky landscapes, dry deciduous forests, rocks, grasses and hilly cliffs. The park is famous for its Bengal Tigers, one of the most magnificent animals of India, which has long fascinated people with its awesome power and beautifully striped coat. It is the first tiger reserve in the world to have successfully relocated tigers.

  3. Day 3: Bharatpur

    Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then set off on a bike ride through the picturesque countryside, chequered with mustard fields and millet farms to the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. On the way, we make a stop at Abhaneri for lunch and visit Chand Baori, one of the largest stepwell built over a thousand years ago in the Abhaneri village of Rajasthan.

    Later in the evening, we explore the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary on a bike, famous for avifauna sanctuary that plays host to thousands of birds, where you have an opportunity to interact with the local guide and gain greater insight into the bird lives.

  4. Day 4: Delhi via Taj Mahal

    In the late morning, we take a transfer to the Agra for a visit of Taj Mahal. We have a good half-day to visit one of the most awesome and extravagant monuments ever built – the Taj Mahal. It was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife in 1631-1653, with thousands of semiprecious stones inlaid.

    In the evening, we recommend to take a Gatimaan Express (5:50pm train) to Delhi, a semi high speed train that runs between Delhi and Agra. Expect to reach Delhi station by 7:30pm. Please note, train is not included in your trip price and you’ll need to book the same on your own. Our crew will drop you at the Agra station to catch a train to Delhi.

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
